Italian Lessons.

So... Tomorrow sees the start of my 'Italian for Holidays' classes. To say I am nervous would be an understatement. I haven't studied any languages since school and even then I wasn't that good... I vaguely remember my French tutor writing something in my final report about how I'm always in a dream world when in her classes.... What I was dreaming of...? Who knows...

Well last summer I made the decision I wanted to go to Italian classes at our local adult education centre. I duly enrolled onto the 'Italian for Hoilday' course and paid the money. Unfortunately a week before the course was due to start, I received a phonecall staying that the course had to be cancelled due to lack of uptake and if any further courses became available they would call me. I was devastated. I'm not someone that has a lot of self discipline so I knew that the only way I would be able to learn the language would be in a classroom... I definitely didn't have the ability and focus to teach myself at home... I resigned myself to the fact that I would have to wait for the next years intake.

Then last Wednesday whilst at work, bored as usual, an email came through from a lady who worked for the adult education centre asking me if I was interested in a place on the course that starts next Monday, just this time in Maidstone, a twenty minute drive away. I jumped at the chance! That night, I enrolled on the class as well as my dad...

It was official.. I am a student again!

I have even got a new notepad :)) Proper italian one and everything!!!

Well.. We will have to a see how I get on tomorrow night but I have no doubt I will be fluent after the first lesson :))

Wish me luck!!!!
